Key of Hearts Skeleton Key

This completely original skeleton key was hand carved in NYC. It is cast in recycled white bronze ( jeweler's bronze with silver added). It's one solid piece and will last for hundreds of years.
This graceful key features a Victorian heart framing a fleur de lis. The elegantly turned key includes four tiny hearts in the key neck and a stylized heart shaped key blade.

Specs : The key is 2.5 inches long and 3/4 of an inch across the widest point. 6.35 cm by 1.9 cm.

In French, fleur de lis literally means "lily flower". It is widely thought to be a stylized version of the species Iris pseudacorus. Decorative ornaments that resemble the fleur-de-lis have appeared in artwork from the earliest human civilizations. According to Pierre-Augustin Boissier de Sauvages, an 18th century French naturalist and lexicographer:[13]
