This wonderful new piece captures the personality of the mysterious cephalopod. It was carved in wax here in NYC by Keith K. It was also cast and plated in exotic Hell's Kitchen NYC. I do these in small batches to keep the quality level high.

I have my own long standing relationship with the octopus. We would play games with each other in the tide pools in the back country of the Florida Keys when I lived on my sailboat. More than once the game would end with me getting ink in my eye.
I also found out that they are the most intelligent sea creatures. They have both short and long term memory and they can open a screw top jar to get inside!

Kanaloa - The Hawaiian Creator, the equivalent of Tangaroa from Maori myths, is also the god of the underworld, who can teach magic. He appears in the shape of an octopus.
They learn. They remember things. They make plans. They play.
